Raising The Bar
TRUSTING GOD LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN

Matthew 19:13, 14.

Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people; but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” In the parable of the lost sheep, Jesus referred to the children as lost sheep and it was the will of the Father that not one of these little ones should perish (Matthew 18:14)

THE LOST COIN

Luke 15:8 – 10:  “What woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it?  And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Parables are dark sayings which Jesus chose to speak, in order to hide the truth from His detractors and explain it later to His disciples. Commonly known as the ‘Parable of the Prodigal son’, many great thinkers prefer to call it – ‘The Parable of the Waiting Father’.
