Jesus did His first miracle in the wedding at Cana to manifest His divine glory - for His disciples to believe in Him (John 2:11). It was still the incipient stage of His ministry, when Jesus after a teaching session told Peter (whose boat was used as a pulpit) to launch into the deep and cast his nets. Every fisherman in the Sea of Galilee knew the basic fact, that daylight was not the best time for fishing and nobody went into the deep, as shoals of fish crowded only near the shore seeking oxygen.
