When Moses was grown up, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter but chose to share the ill-treatment with his people than to enjoy his exuberant life style in the palace. He was burdened within himself that he should alleviate the sufferings of his people who were living under the bondage of slavery. On one such occasion, when he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, he took the law into his own hands by killing the Egyptian and hiding him in the sand.
