Nothing excites a child of God more than an answered prayer. The very feeling, that we have a God who listens and answers prayer, is so refreshing to the soul. There are many phases in the Bible where God had been silent for many moons and His people had to wait agonizingly, to have their prayers answered and promises fulfilled.
God never spoke to Abraham for thirteen years after Ishmael was born, before appearing to him as El-Shaddai, when he was ninety nine (Genesis 17:1).

Trying to understand the timing of God is the most baffling thing we can ever encounter in our Christian walk. He works to a clock different from that of the world. Apostle Peter in his letter (2 Peter 3:8) wrote that “with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day”.
