Raising The Bar
Change is the catchword

That which does not accept change stops growing and that which stops growing perishes before it’s time. No caring earthly father would love to see his children ‘spastic’ and so does our Heavenly Father. In a lighter vein, we all stop growing after sometime at both ends of our body except in the middle!

Jesus during His three and a half year ministry preached oftentimes on the change of heart and attitude to the holier-than-thou Pharisees who vehemently scoffed at His teaching. They believed strongly that just by the merit of being the sons of Abraham they would right royally walk into the portals of heaven. Jesus warned them in the Parable of the Banquet (Matt. 22:1-14) that unless they were willing to change their self-righteous garment in compliance to the King’s mandate, they would be denied entry at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Even Christians today in my experience are not too open-minded to ‘CHANGE’, except poor street kids I’ve seen in my city, who after being thoroughly drenched in the rain, graciously welcome a change of clothing from their wet and clammy state.

Here’s a game changing quote – Should I say life changing?

“We cannot change our past but we can re-write our future - if only we accept change”.
