Raising The Bar
Spiritual manhood

Sitting on my bed on the last day of the year and taking a trip down memory lane into my past, I realized I still carried a few baggages of unconquered childhood behavioral patterns that prevented me from attaining spiritual manhood.

After taking little comfort on the thought that ‘sanctification is a process of a lifetime’, a maxim I once knew suddenly popped up in my mind as if throwing open a challenge to me for the coming year 2017.

Here it goes – “Growing old is compulsory but growing up is optional.

Not all believers I have ministered in the past twenty years have evinced a great passion to grow up to mature spiritual manhood, to the measure and the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

Let’s make spiritual growth a sine qua non in life, as it is the will of the father that we His children would all grow up to become like His only Son – Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29).
